What is a Credit Report

I'm actually new to this whole Credit Report thing. I want to share information that I've discovered in my research.

What is a Credit Report?
Well, a credit report unfortunately helps companies determine if they are going to give consumers a line of credit. There is a lot of information on our credit reports. Most commonly is our name, address and employer. This is the first few little things that show up.

Next, your credit report will show something called public records. These public records are items like Bankruptcies, child support and tax liens. It's more like if you were to go to court over something and a judgment is placed against you.

Next, your credit report will show delinquent accounts. These accounts can be from anywhere.  Normally, they are accounts that "we just forgot about". I say that because when I moved out of my last apartment I really didn't want to pay the final electricity bill. I don't recommend you do that. It showed up on my credit report and I had to negotiate to get it removed.

Then it will display your positive accounts and your closed accounts. I have a lot of closed accounts. Nevertheless, you want as much positive credit as you can get.

Then you'll see your credit score at the end.

So, the question is, What is a Credit Report? In short a credit report is a report that shows how responsible you have been in your financial commitments. It's important to keep the integrity of your credit report.

I hope I was able to explain it enough, if you want a more clearer explanation I ran across this site that had a really good post.

Check it out if you want to! Just click here!

Actually I'll just help everyone out and I'll post all the sites that have really good information.
